Introducing ‘Fiona Kable’

Each month, we shine a light on one of the incredible businesses that help Lennox Head thrive, not just through great service, but by showing up for the community, collaborating with others, and bringing their unique spark to the table.

This month, we’re proud to feature Fiona Kable. She is a counsellor, coach, facilitator and community builder whose work is centred on helping women move from burnout, overwhelm and disconnection into greater calm, clarity and steadiness. Based in the Northern Rivers, Fiona works with women both face-to-face and online through one-to-one support, workshops, workplace programs, and through Conscious Women Connect, an incorporated community organisation dedicated to reducing social isolation and strengthening belonging for women across the Northern Rivers.

Fiona Kable

Helping Women Find Their Way Back to Themselves

Fiona’s work is grounded, relational and deeply human. Through coaching, counselling and facilitated programs, she supports women in better understanding the emotional patterns, stress responses and learned behaviours that shape their lives, while building practical tools for nervous system regulation, boundaries, communication and self-trust. Her approach is designed for real women navigating real lives. Not perfection, not performance, just meaningful support that feels safe, consistent and sustainable.

That depth of support is shaped by lived experience as much as professional expertise. Fiona shares that after 25 years working in the corporate world supporting leaders and organisations, she experienced deep burnout, an experience that reshaped her understanding of wellbeing, leadership and sustainable living. Today, that perspective informs the calm, non-judgmental spaces she creates for other women.

Community Impact

What makes Fiona’s work especially valuable in the local landscape is the way it extends beyond individual support to community life. Fiona shared that over the past year, she has grown Conscious Women Connect from one coffee meetup into an incorporated community organisation connecting more than 1,500 women across the Northern Rivers, 20 volunteer hosts facilitating 18 regular gatherings across 11 communities with Lennox Head remaining one of its busiest hubs.

In Lennox Head alone, women can connect through weekly Thursday morning coffee gatherings, fortnightly lunches at Seed & Husk, the Monday evening Nourish Circle, monthly Community & Culture gatherings with Parvin, workshops and special community events throughout the year. These gatherings provide welcoming spaces where women can build friendships, feel less isolated and develop a genuine sense of belonging.

She describes these gatherings as spaces where women can feel less isolated, build friendships and reconnect with themselves. That impact flows directly into the local business community. As Conscious Women Connect has grown, it recently became an incorporated association, allowing the organisation to begin applying for grants and seeking philanthropic support. Fiona's vision is to ensure that all community gatherings remain free and accessible while building the infrastructure, volunteer training and wellbeing programs needed to support the growing number of women looking for connection. Fiona’s gatherings bring consistent foot traffic to cafés, venues and small businesses, while introducing an engaged network of women to local products, services and experiences. They also create opportunities for collaboration through hosted events, workshops and community initiatives.

Because Conscious Women Connect is built around connection over competition, its members are encouraged to support local and share recommendations through word of mouth. For new residents and visitors, the community can also become a first point of connection into Lennox life, helping them settle in while introducing them to the businesses and people that shape the area.

Why Fiona Kable Matters to Lennox Head

Fiona’s work strengthens the local business community in several practical ways. She creates visibility for local venues and service providers, builds opportunities for business collaboration and supports women in business through coaching, group programs and workplace initiatives.

By helping women manage burnout, business pressures, family responsibilities and major life changes, her work also supports stronger participation in workplaces, families and the wider community. Through Conscious Women Connect, Fiona is building a values-led network that supports local businesses, shares opportunities and contributes to a more connected Lennox Head.

Did You Know?

Looking ahead, Fiona's focus is on securing grants, philanthropic partnerships and local business collaborations that will allow Conscious Women Connect to continue growing while keeping gatherings free and accessible for women across the Northern Rivers.

A Bigger Vision for 2026

Following the recent incorporation of Conscious Women Connect, Fiona is now focused on building sustainable funding through grants, philanthropic support and community partnerships so the organisation can expand its impact across the region.

Her plans include expanding gatherings and workshops in partnership with local venues, creating more opportunities for women-led businesses to be seen and supported, and offering tailored wellbeing and connection programs for local workplaces, including women in high-pressure industries.

She describes Conscious Women Connect as a bridge between community and business, where connection becomes the foundation for both wellbeing and economic growth. It’s a strong reminder that business impact is not always loud or obvious. Sometimes it looks like safe spaces, honest conversations, stronger relationships and the kind of support that helps people keep showing up for their lives.
